Hi, I’m Megan. I was born on the south side of Chicago. Despite being in NYC for a good chunk of my adult life, I apparently still have a Midwest accent. I come from an AD/art background — but I also write. When I’m not slinging ads, I can be found trying to fix things in my 1930’s farmhouse, walking faster than necessary in Brooklyn, cuddling with my pup Maze, cleaning up chicken poop for my 11 hens, or baking something naughty (I went back to professional pastry school — freelance leaves room to pursue other passions!)

Inside titles don’t make much sense as a freelancer — so I simply call myself a FREELANCE CREATIVE DIRECTOR. I’ve worked just about everywhere— big, small, East, West, Midwest, Europe, non-agency, agency, direct to client. Sometimes I run things as an ECD/GCD/ETC, other times I do the work. I have always loved DOING the work.

 Megan’s career has taken her from the South Side of Chicago to the South of France and around the world and finally back to her second home, New York City. She brings with her a breadth of industry experience – seasoned in everything from cookies and liquor, to social activism and new media technology. Hustling her way up, first an art director at EnergyBBDO and then holding posts at Saatchi & Saatchi, CP+B, Megan landed at FCB where her leadership on the Cyber Grand Prix-winning Oreo “Daily Twist” campaign helped push the possibilities of responsive advertising. Most recently, she’s been a cheetah-fast freelancer in high demand across the industry. Listed in Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business and in Creativity Magazine’s Top 50, Megan’s work has been recognized by the One Show, Cannes Lions, pop culture at large, and she’s been invited to take part in international panels and workshops on innovation and branding. She considers her biggest source of pride, however, to be her very cute (and sometimes smelly) well-dressed dog, Andy Warhol.
